Applications are invited for Direct Recruitment to the post of Village Administrative Officer as detailed below:

Village Administrative Officer in Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service (2009-2010): 1576 Posts
Pay Scale: Rs.5, 200 – 20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,000/- P.M) (PB1)
Age: Max 21 years of age (for all candidates) (i.e. should have been born on or before 1.7.1989)

Village Administrative Officer (Shortfall vacancies for SC/ST): 1077 Posts
Pay Scale: Rs.5, 200 – 20,200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2,000/- P.M) (PB1)
Age:
(i) 40 years of age for SC/ SC (Arunthathiyars), STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCM and Destitute Widows of all castes. (i.e. should have been born on or after 2.7.1970)
(ii) 30 years of age for „Others? (i.e. should have been born on or after 2.7.1980.)

Qualification:
Must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification viz., Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of Studies (or) to College Courses of studies. (Persons claiming equivalence of qualification should enclose evidence for such claim)
