Oriental Bank of Commerce is Recruiting for the post of Clerks 2010

Candidates are requested to apply online between 25.10.2010 and 24.11.2010 only through Bank’s website www.obcindia.co.in after payment of fee in any of the Branches of Our Bank only.
No other means/mode of application/Payment will be accepted.

CLOSING DATE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION : 24.11.2010

Tentative DATE OF WRITTEN EXAMINATION : 09.01.2011

Educational Qualification(as on 01.10.2010)

FOR GENERAL/ OBC CANDIDATES

Degree in any discipline or its equivalent with any class/division
(OR)
10+2 examination or its equivalent with minimum 50%.

RELAXATION FOR SC/ST/XS/PWD CANDIDATES: – Pass in 10+2.

Computer Literacy
The basic knowledge in operating computer systems in Windows mode, knowledge of MS-Word/Office, Spread Sheets like MS-Excel and Internet & Email familiarity is an essential qualification which a candidate must either possess before joining the bank services or acquire the same within a period of 6 months of joining the bank, in case the candidate is selected for appointment. For this purpose, the candidate is required to submit a certificate in support of this computer related qualification.

Age (AS ON 01.10.2010)
Minimum age – 18 years
Maximum age –28 years i.e. Born between 01/10/1982 and 30/09/1992

Application Fees
For SC/ST/XS/PWD candidates – Rs. 50/- (For postage)
For all others (including OBC) – Rs. 300/-

Written Test
Test of Reasoning – 50 Marks
Test of English – 50 Maks
Test of Clerical Aptitude – 50 Marks
Test of Numerical Ability – 50 Marks

Appointment
The candidates selected finally from each State will be appointed within that State/UT in accordance with the norms framed by the bank in this behalf.

Selection Procedure
The selection will be on the basis of written test and interview. All eligible candidates will be called for a written examination, which will be both Objective and Descriptive in nature.
